You might be nervous or get swept up in the activity. So
it's helpful to write your questions down ahead of time.
These are questions to ask to learn more about the organization and the
internship.
- How would you describe the mission of your organization?
- Is there a job description for my internship, or the job in which
I have an interest?
- How many hours per week would you ideally like an intern to work?
- Who would I work with? How would I be supervised? Could I meet them?
- Do you employ other interns? If so, how are they utilized?
- What kind of training or orientation do you provide?
- Does the position require any special skills, experience, or education?
- How does the department I would work in fit into the overall organization?
- What is the general role and status of interns at the work site? How
can I expect to be received?
- How would my performance be evaluated?
- Is there any type of compensation involved?
- Are you willing to work with the School-to-Work Coordinator in an
internship arrangement?
- Do I need to fill out an application or provide you with any other
documentation? If so, when are they due?
